Annabelle slept from midnight to 8:30 this morning! I got an uninterrupted 8 1/2 hours of sleep and I feel like a million bucks! Well actually it’s 9:30, I’ve been in my pjs since 7, and I am so ready for bed. ;-P
I took the noon yoga class again today and my soreness from Saturday’s run is completely gone. Since I was feeling pretty good, I headed out for an evening run tonight…and I ran in shorts! Spring is finally here!
This run felt GOOD. It has been so long since a run has felt good. While I was pregnant running was fun, but challenging. I was carrying around a lot of extra weight and had to make a number of pit stops during each run. Getting back into running after having Annabelle was even more challenging and it has been hard to get that running fitness back. I still have a long way to go, but I completed 5.1 miles with an average pace of 8:25 tonight. I’ll take it!
My dad was nice enough to
nap with babysit Annabelle while I was gone. Since it’s pretty warm in our house, AB has been going sans pants and I just love seeing her chubby legs. She just looks funny in this picture.
Even though I am finally feeling good about my running, I am always worried about getting injured. I have a few friends (in person friends and blog friends) that are suffering through some injuries and have been forced to drop-out of races…including Boston. I know how hard it is to be sidelined, so hang in there and try your best to take it easy so you can heal and come back stronger than ever. If you need a friend to sit around and eat lots of fro yo with, I’m your girl :).
