Annabelle’s First Halloween

I don’t know about you, but I think she is the cutest baby unicorn…ever. πŸ™‚

1st trick or treating: we went to an outdoor mall but got there late=no candy. It was still so much fun to carry her around in her costume.

2nd trick or treating: we went to an indoor mall and it was super crowded and we got some great candy. AB even picked some out by herself and she always went for the good stuff…Twix, Reeses, 3 Musketeers.

3rd trick or treating: we went to a get together at my neighbor’s house and ate awesome food, handed out candy, and stuffed our pockets full of candy.

Annabelle’s “aunts and uncles” (my cousin and second cousins :-)) came over to visit for a little while last night. They adore Annabelle and it is so cute.

I’m still a little under the weather so I haven’t done any running since Monday! I hope you all were able to get a run or workout in before going into a candy coma. πŸ™‚

What was the best part of your Halloween?

Hi Linda, How are you?! So sorry you are still not feeling well. Maybe you need to allow your body some rest for a week–only it might go into shock! I’m glad Annabelle and Chris aren’t sick. And yes indeed, Annabelle is THE cutest little Unicorn I have ever seen. I actually haven’t seen that costume that much. I’m sure she made quite a fashion statement. I ‘m glad you had a nice first Halloween with your baby.

To answer your questions, my favorite thing about Halloween is sitting by the front door with the candy and seeing all the little munchkins climbing the few small steps and looking up with the sweetest faces and very happy, smiling faces of Mommies and Daddies standing behind them. I saw a couple of Dads walking around with Star Wars Laser Sticks–reliving their childhood!

They were all so cute and my favorite was a cute little girl I know named Rachel who is about 9 and she was dressed as a 50’s girl and her Mom had really done it up right! Very cute.

    Love,
    Aunt Jeanne

    • So nice to hear from you Aunt Jeanne! Thanks for the kind words, I am finally starting to feel better! I’m glad you had a great Halloween and we hope to see you soon!

  2. Linda, the great thing about Halloween is that for the last 3 years, our neighbors have had a pot luck dinner and then we take the kids out trick or treating! There must have been 30 plus kids!! We had a hard time keeping track of Jake! Some if the kids came back to our neighbor’s house and trade candy…been a tradition for the last couple of years. Glad to hear yours was a blast too!!!
