Hi guys! Β I’ve been totally lame sauce and I’m sorry about that. I’m trying really hard to get out of this funk and I think some sunny Spring weather is just what the doctor orders. PLEASE bring on the warm weather. Pretty please.

Since I need the pictures from my phone to actually remember what’s been going on, I’ve uploaded a bunch for a trip down memory lane.

Poor baby was having some tummy troubles last weekend. Toddlers and tummy trouble = absolutely terrible.

Chris and I had a rare dinner out last Friday (thanks Carrie!!!) and we enjoyed salmon, tuna, bread pudding, and flourless chocolate cake. 😍

Homemade ice cream cake just sounded like a good idea today.

1. Chocolate fudge (chocolate chips melted into some vanilla almond milk)

Even though I wanted to eat it as soon as I made it, I waited until after dinner. Β πŸ™‚

Post workout selfie…because you really needed to see my sweaty face. Β PS Somebody please tell me how to fix my crow’s feet. Β I did Jillian MIchael’s 30 day Shred Level 2 followed by 2 rounds of the At Home Jumping Jacks Circuit Workout. Β On the second round I made a few substitutions to switch things up a little bit (burpess instead of tuck jumps, tricep dips in place of tricep pushups, and leg lifts in place of bicycle crunches).Β Dinner = leftover chicken mixed with veggies topped with shredded cheddar cheese. Β Everything it better with a side of sweet potato fries.

Yup, I ate this huge chunk that is missing.

Florida in February

Florida in February is awesome. πŸ˜„

I woke up early last Friday morning and ran 7 easy miles on the treadmill followed by the 8 minute abs video….followed by a stop for the good stuff.

After a quick workday, Annabelle and I headed to the airport. A few hours later, we were in the Sunshine State!

Saturday morning, I went to a boot camp class with my mom, brother, and sister in law. I always go when I’m in town and I LOVE it. We enjoyed breakfast outside afterwards and it was great to soak up some sunshine.

The rest of the day was spent getting manis and pedis and driving with the top down. πŸ˜‰

Sunday was a gorgeous day, so we headed to Cocoa Beach. Sunny and 75 in February…yes please.

We left the beach, had dinner (Annabelle loves to take chips from the basket and take a bite and put it back), and headed home to shower and eat dessert. My mom tested out her new blow dryer…

Dessert was Blue Bell ice cream. We don’t have this in PA and I must eat large quantities when I visit Florida.

Monday was a relaxing day…first breakfast at First Watch and then we spent some time at the playground. My dad has tons of pictures from the playground but I don’t have them yet. πŸ˜’

The weather turned rainy in the afternoon, so my mom and I headed to the gym. She ellipticalled and I treadmilled. Yup, neither of those are words but I’m using them anyway. I think my treadmill may have been broken because I did the following workout and it felt really good.

2 miles at 8:35 pace
5 miles at 7:30 pace
1/2 mile at 8:35 pace

We finished our workouts with the 8 minute abs video.

John and Emmy were nice enough to make us dinner that night (taco salads) and it was great to just hang out and talk.

Tuesday was another relaxing day, but it carried a dark cloud since we were heading home that evening. πŸ˜” After breakfast, my mom and I walked to her condo gym and completed this workout from Julie.

It was a great workout and I was sore the next day.

After showering and packing up, we went to a local BBQ joint by my parent’s house. The food is amazing and everything comes with huge pieces of garlic bread. I wish I had taken pictures but I was busy keeping a toddler in her seat. 😜 We arrived at the airport early enough for my parents to come in and for Annabelle to run around a bit. We said goodbye and it keeps getting harder and harder. I always get sympathetic looks from the TSA agents who check my boarding pass and ID while I’m sucking back tears.

It was a great trip and I can’t wait to plan my next visit. The plane trip was pretty uneventful except for having to change AB’s diaper in the bathroom. Those things are not made for 2 year olds.

Tuesday Training Recap: Week of 4/21-4/27

Hi everyone! Here is how training went last week…less than 2 weeks to go now!

Monday:

7 mile tempo run on the NCR Trail. I averaged a 7:29 pace and the last 3 tempo miles were tough! A steady incline plus a head wind = slower pace while putting forth more effort.

Tuesday:

PB Fingers 30 Minute Boot Camp Workout. I loved this quick workout and I did it in my basement during my lunch break. πŸ™‚

Wednesday:

Track workout! It was VERY windy and chilly…again. I keep waiting for these workouts to feel easy and they never do!

8 x 800m with 1:30 RI (rest interval). Our times ranged from 3:12-3:18 for each 800m.

Thursday:

Body Pump class

Friday:

6 easy miles on the treadmill at an 8:34 pace

Saturday:

13 miles on the NCR Trail. It was tough to keep up the speed towards the end, but I got it done with an overall pace of 8:10 per mile.
