Sweatshirts and running.

Well, we made it through Monday and tomorrow is a federal holiday. Yay for being a federal employee! A BIG thank you to all of our past and present members of the military.

We had a pretty good weekend over here. When I got home from work on Thursday, I had FOUR great surprises waiting for me.

1. A very nice note from Chris.
2. My favorite Starbucks drink in the fridge.
3. A Reebok yoga sweatshirt.

4. A Nike sweatshirt.

He’s kinda the best. ūüôā PS I have failed to take a picture of the sweatshirts even though I have lived in the Nike one for the last 4 days.

Annabelle got new boots and a new coat this weekend. She didn’t want to take it off.

I decided to randomly make these on Friday afternoon and it was one of my better decisions.

Sunday morning was spent running a 10k over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and it was awesome! I’ll have a full recap up soon.

Sunday afternoon was spent running another 8 miles with the jogging stroller. Why would I so such a thing? Because I thought it was a great idea to sign up for a marathon happening at the end of this month. More on that later. ūüôā

Do you have an obsession with sweats? Yes!

Chocolate chip cookie or brownie? Tough decision…

An evening run…and possible injury.

Today’s schedule was a little thrown off…Chris had a midday meeting and I had to write something for work = I was in my pjs¬†until about 5 p.m.¬† Even if I do not get dressed, I always dress Annabelle.¬† I just feel better when she is dressed for the day :).

She loves watching ESPN with daddy in the morning.

My dad came up to visit tonight, so I went for a run while he and AB hung out.  I am very lucky to have parents that are more than happy to spend some QT with their granddaughter.

It was a gorgeous night for a run.  I did 7 miles in a little under an hour.

I felt great while running, but once I got home and showered I started feeling some pain in my left inner thigh area.¬† I really hope that it’s nothing serious and that I can stretch it out in yoga tomorrow.¬† Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I picked up Subway for dinner and as I was walking out, I saw a man that looked exactly like Jared (the guy that lost all that weight eating Subway) walking in.  I really wanted to get a picture, but there was no way to take one without looking like a total creeper.

As promised, here are AB’s new shoes.¬† Raven’s colors = added bonus ūüôā

I also bought her these for summer…the Carter’s outlet is my new favorite store.

What do you think?

Do you prefer to run/workout at a certain time of day?

Shopping – love it or dread it?

A good run and baby shots break my heart

I know that many of you could not concentrate at work wondering if Chris ate the sub last night, so I apologize for making you wait so long.¬† The sub lives another day!¬† I have not removed it from the fridge yet, so anything could happen…

After enjoying a great night of¬†sleep (AB slept from 11-6:30…now I just have to learn to go to sleep when she does), I woke up and decided to brave the windy cold weather and head out for a run.¬†¬†I was starving, so I had a toasted english muffin with crunchy peanut¬†butter for breakfast.

I cannot wait for warm weather so that I can stop dressing like this to run outside.  I wore a Reebok cold gear sweatshirt and Reebok running tights.  The tights are made for the cold so they actually keep my legs pretty warm.

I had a great run!¬† I only did 4.25 miles but it was pretty challenging¬†because it was so windy.¬†¬†I felt pretty good the whole time and only got that weird cramp for a short amount of time and it wasn’t as severe as the other day.¬† My¬†pace is still¬†nowhere near where I used to be (it was about 9:40 per mile today), but I know I will get back to my¬†pace soon.

Annabelle’s¬†two month appointment was this afternoon.¬† She is growing so fast and is up to 11 pounds 7 ounces!¬† She gained 2 pounds 7 ounces this past month.¬† She is also very long…in the 80th percentile!¬† She was all smiles¬†until it was¬†time for the shots.

She had¬†1 oral medication and 2 shots today.¬† She actually liked the oral medication and drank it right down…girl likes anything that¬†seems like food.¬† She then got one shot in each of her legs.¬†¬†It is so heartbreaking to listen to her cry.¬† The “that hurt” cry is different than the hungry cry and I can’t help but tear up.¬† She settled down afterwards and she was passed¬†out almost all day.

While my dad was on baby duty, my mom and¬†I went to¬†Trader Joe’s.¬† I bought some¬†food for the week and some food for next week when my brother and his family come to stay with us :).¬† I can’t wait for them to meet Annabelle.

I also stopped at Giant to stock up on the Chobani flips.  The key lime flavor is my favorite and even Chris eats these voluntarily.

What do you think?

What is the last shot that you got?

Whooping cough vaccine while I was in the hospital.

Have you ever been to Trader Joe’s?

Way too many times to count…I used to go to a gym that was basically connected to the store and I would go there almost every day.
